"We'd like to adopt a child

from another country."

Catholic Charities offers home study and post-placement services to couples interested in International Adoption. Prospective adoptive parents must complete a required home study investigation process on behalf of a licensed child placement agency in order to adopt internationally.

Many International Adoption Agencies are located outside of Wisconsin. Having a local agency, such as Catholic Charities, complete the home study and post-placement services can be more cost-effective for the adoptive family.

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Green Bay is a Hague Accredited Agency through IAAME (www.iaame.net). Catholic Charities does not act as a primary provider for any intercountry adoptions, so individuals pursuing intercountry adoption of any kind must also work with a second agency, located anywhere in the United States, that will act as a primary provider and ensure that all adoption requirements are met in the child's country of origin.
